We think it is important for you to know our cost report preparation process. Our preparation process is compartmentalized. First we enter your trial balance or financial statements into our accounting software. Then we make adjustments, prior year or current year. During this phase, we footnote all adjustments to ensure that all adjustments have an explanation. Very important for desk review or audit questions.
Once the financials are ticked and tied, we enter the numbers into our cost report preparation software. Our experiences pays off during this step. Not only knowing exactly where each number goes but also the fact that our software calculates averages. Based on our experience, we can determine if the averages make sense. You see we are not just data entry clerks, we also evaluate the data.
After all the numbers are entered and reviewed, we print the cost report and combine it with the financial statements. We make a digital copy of the cost report and mail to our clients for signature.
